Buddy, a stereotypical Southeasterner

"The common good is the greatest good."

How do you do? I am Buddy, and I live in the South East region of Politopia. Governments that have attained power through legitimate means are responsible for determining common goals and doing everything in their power to achieve those goals. Passive, merely administrative governments will lose their mandate over time. If we are to achieve greatness as a nation, we must have a strong government to orchestrate the actions of its citizens. Individualistic pursuits, especially pursuits that undermine communal goals, should not be encouraged. We must hold everyone to a clearly articulated standard of behavior and guarantee a minimum level of income. Only societies led by men with clear vision of purpose and the will to endure will, in the end, succeed in attaining the heights of nationhood.
